When I first started my Substack I had only plans to update my recipe blog, but the more stacks I read from other people I have been drawn towards a lot of art and photography writers and I thought maybe it was time to share some of my art work on here too.

I am still very much in the development stage of a theme I am working on which is inspired by my dog Floyd’s local friends. I feel that every time I start a new project my technique is improving, I look back at the original art work I have done and I was so proud at the time but now I think I have developed and am developing, so by recording my journey here I hope to be able to look back and see if it has all be worth it.
I am still testing out techniques and materials. Charlie here was my first print using oil on Japanese paper. I love the simplicity of his lines, but I think I could have used a larger cutting tool.
I have realised that art materials are not cheap either so I have started up a MadeMe Shop on which I will be selling my art work to help fund this development. Every item is individually printed so every piece of work is unique, this also means I can be flexible with requests such as ink colours or bespoke work. If your interested in something that is not on the site then contact me anytime to discuss your requirements.
